Intention is the purposeful direction of Consciousness.
How many moments are there in a minute? The question may sound funny but it cuts to the heart of a bigger question: What is the nature of time?
I can’t provide a definitive answer on the nature of time, but I can say that my concept of it has shifted appreciably in the last few days.
For years my perception of time has been one of going faster and faster and somehow getting less and less done. Does that sound familiar?
If your life is anything like mine, the pace seems to grow faster every year. We try to cram more activities into a day than ever before. And we compensate for our pell-mell willy-nilly rush with cell phones and PDA’s, fast food and microwave ovens, TIVO and voice mail. We also do more than one thing at a time, like talking on the phone while driving, or eating in front of the TV. We’re overscheduled and starved for time.
I was just ending my morning meditation when I heard someone call my name.
It was my spirit guide Chien inviting me to join him at my home away from home, a house I maintain in Focus 27 reality. I pointed my attention there and materialized in the living room like I’d been beamed in from the Enterprise on the TV show Star Trek. I call this process translocation.
As I arrived I heard a chorus of voices shouting, “Surprise!”
One day an otter was making his way up a stream when he chanced upon a very large fish who was too big for the otter to eat. The otter asked the fish for directions to a lake that fed the river. The fish didn’t know about the lake, having never visited it. But the two got to talking about their respective experiences in the world.
For his part the fish told the otter about the wonders of life on this stretch of the river. He described his swimming hole with its sandy bottom on one side and gravel bar on the other. He spoke of the rapids and the little eddies that formed as the current slipped and slowed around the large rocks. He told of the overhanging branches and the places where he used to hide and play as a minnow. He told of the best spot to find breakfast in the early morning when the grasshoppers slipped off the dew-soaked grass on the cut bank at the edge of the swimming hole.
The otter was curious about the fish’s world and asked many questions. It was a lively and engaging conversation, but it was repeatedly interrupted since the otter had to continually return to the surface to take a breath of air.
Posts from yesterday and the day before documented a lecture I attended in Focus 27 nonphysical reality on the subject of the Matrix and how we use consciousness to influence the Matrix in order to manifest our thoughts in physical reality. I sat down to mediate again the next morning and discovered that I was due in class with Astromides. His lecture was about to start. I returned to the Observatory and realized what I had assumed to be a one time workshop was instead the first day of a longer class.
As I sat down in my seat Astromides looked at me and said, “Now that we’re all here I think we can get started.”
“Yesterday we looked at the energy matrix and discussed how consciousness influences energy and matter through the process of manifestation. Today we’re going to take a closer look at how energy fields are influenced by consciousness,” he began.

The trees vanished and the previous energy signature of a human was back in the air in front of the class.
The teacher gestured toward the glowing green lines and said, “Mind consciousness directly affects the manifestation of the human form. We spoke earlier about how what you eat, what you experience, and what you think all influence the energy matrix that is uniquely your own.”
As he said this I guessed that he was referring to the information I’d received in my dream. So I didn’t interrupt the lecture to ask to be brought up to speed after my late arrival in class.
“So now let’s look at something more specific, such as physical illness. Physical illness can manifest in a great variety of ways. Mild illness is often a feeling a discomfort or dis-ease, such as a cold or flu with a variety of symptoms but no specific focal point for the illness. Other more developed forms of physical illness take up specific residence in the body as tumors, cancers, and the like. But all illness, like all manifestation, begins in much more subtle fashion.
I had a dream the other night in which I was looking at energy matrices. They were three dimensional grids of thin neon green lines that looked something like a computer’s 3D cartographical representation of a mountain range. In my dream I knew that they were energy signatures.
I knew that each person, indeed each thing in physical form, had a unique energy signature that resulted in a particular three dimensional matrix. These matrices were determined by a variety of different factors. First, all human matrices existed on a particular frequency. Then differences began to appear as other factors influenced the signature. For instance, male and female patterns are different. After that other factors became influential such as biological influences from parentage, the food we eat, the exercise we get, geography, proximity to others socially, our previous life experiences, our psychological constitution, etc. All of these factors and many more combine to make every human energy signature unique. Even more unique than a fingerprint.
In my dream I realized that it is these unique energy signatures that enable me to find someone in non-physical reality. I am seeking their exact energy signature. That is how we really know people on all levels of reality. We don’t just know them by how they look, the color of their hair or eyes, or the way they walk or laugh. We also know them by their personality. These are all attributes that contribute to the energy signature.
But the message of the dream was more than just this observation. The message was that if you changed the energy signature, you changed the person—and the person’s experience of reality.
After I woke up I decided to learn more about these energy signatures in my meditation. So I held the image of one of the energy signatures in my mind and asked where I should go to learn more about it. The answer I received was “Go to the Observatory in Focus 27.”
Grace is the Divine moving within you, through you, and around you.
Grace happens when you listen to your inner wisdom.
And even when you don’t.
Grace happens when you are kind to yourself.
And even when you aren’t.
Grace happens when you stop struggling, straining and worrying.
And even when you can’t.
Grace happens when you open your heart to others.
And even when you won’t.
Grace happens when you trust.
And even when you don’t.
Grace happens when you are happy and joyous.
And even when you aren’t.
Grace happens when you notice the beauty of life around you.
And even when you don’t.
Grace happens when you are overwhelmed.
And even when you aren’t.
Grace happens when you help others, no matter how inadequate you feel while doing so.
And it even happens when you don’t.
Grace happens when you let it.
And even when you won’t.
Grace is constant.
Even when you aren’t.
The journeys I take can be described as meditations, astral projections, out of body experiences, or remote viewing. To me these are differing names for what is the same phenomenon—paying attention to or sending my awareness to some point that cannot be perceived by my body’s five physical senses.
There are countless books and websites describing methods you can use to send your awareness beyond your body. Many offer mental exercises and affirmations. Some suggest paying attention to your dreams. Others suggest using rituals, drumming, music, and/or substances to alter your consciousness. Still others employ technologies, such as the Monroe Institute’s Hemi-Sync, to help you change your brainwave frequencies. In the end they all involve shifting your attention from the outer world you normally experience to an inner world that exists alongside and beyond the physical realm.
For me, after years of practice this has become a simple and natural process that no longer requires preparation time, ritual, or any aids to shift my consciousness. In essence, my current process is less one of going somewhere else than it is one of paying attention to something else.
If you think about it you may discover that you use this very same process of shifting your attention, albeit you may do so in different contexts.
